Stuart Anstis

Stuart Anstis is a former guitarist and songwriter for the British metal band Cradle of Filth. He was in the band from 1994 until 1999, appearing on four releases, as well as in the video for From the Cradle to Enslave.[1] Following his firing from the band (after which bandmate Les Smith left in protest), he began a new band called Bastardsun which disbanded in 2005 following the death of legendary frontman David Wayne (Metal Church, Wayne, Reverend) in a car accident. In 2001, he released Aphelion I-VI,[1] an electronic project which met with critical acclaim and produced, mixed and mastered albums based out of Soundcage Studio UK (most notably for Irish metal band Scavenger). Stuart went to school in the small port town of Bideford and he now lives there with his wife Antoinette. He also runs a guitar shop in the town (Bideford Bay Guitars) and is a much sought after guitar teacher.
